World Anti-Tobacco day Observance & Painting Competition: CURA'09
'World No Tobacco Day' is observed around the globe on May 31, every year. The member states of the World Health Organization declared 'World No Tobacco Day' in 1987. It draws global attention to the widespread prevalence of tobacco use and to its negative health effects. On this occasion, De Paul Institute of Science and Technology (DIST) in association with Kerala Cancer Care Society is conducting tobacco awareness campaign CURA'09. As part of CURA'09, an inter-collegiate painting competition is organized at 10.30 am to 1.00 pm on 5th June 2009, at DIST.
The topic of the painting competition will be "Tobacco and Cancer". A valedictory function is arranged on the same day at 2.00 pm at DIST. The prizes for the winners will be given away by eminent personalities at this function. We request you to inform your students about the programme and encourage them to utilize their talents to fight against this social menace.
