General Rules
- We have tried our best to provide all facilities for making your stay comfortable in the campus. If you need any assistance, you may contact the help-desk in the reception counter. However unnecessary crowding at the help-desk needs to be avoided.
- When you enter in to De Paul you become a part of our campus. So all the rules are applicable to you.
- Each participant /group should report at the respective venue 30 minutes before the event begins. Failure to do so leads to disqualification.
- There should be at least three teams or participants for each event; otherwise the organizers have the discretion to cancel the event.
- The decision of the judges shall be final.
- Discipline must be maintained within the campus
- Mass processions and demonstrations within the campus will automatically disqualify the team from the events.
- Alcoholic consumption and smoking are strictly prohibited in the campus as well as in the accommodation centers.
- Your grievances if any, will be considered with due importance. All the teams having grievances are requested to adhere through their faculty member, not through groups.
- Communication with the teams shall be made through the team leader only.
- The music for the item should be recorded in the original CD or DVD in Media Player, and VLC player formats (no USB drive or other medium).
- Participants have to take care of their own belongings
- Water and electricity are important resources. Please use them judiciously.
- De Paul has an Eco - friendly campus. Please keep the premises neat and tidy.
- Harming the nature is strictly prohibited.
- There would be bonus marks for participation and attendance.
- All the participants are required to register and wear the ID cards throughout the programmes and sign the attendance register.
- Kindly follow the instructions given by the volunteers for the smooth conduct of the program.
Rules and Regulations for Competitions
I. PAPER PRESENTATION (Treasure Trove)
THEME:-Environmental Issues and Terrorism: A Call for Sustainable Development
1. One team from each college (Two students in a team, including support)
2. There will be 10 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion.
3. The medium of presentation is English
4. The paper should be the original contribution by the participants and the copy- right of the papers presented will belong to the organizers.
5. LCD Projector, Laptop and Audio equipments will be available for presentation
6. Materials, both hard copy and the soft copy (in CD: Windows XP both PPT and Word) for presentation are to be submitted at the time of registration.
7. Communication, Presentation skills, Creativity, Knowledge, Originality of the work and
Interaction are the criteria for judgement.
8. Abstract of the paper should reach on or before 30th September to the following email ID

II. THEME SHOW (Renovere)
Theme:-Poverty leads to terrorism
1. One team from each college. (Minimum -5 and maximum-8)
2. The language, if used, can be English or Malayalam.
3. Time allotted for each team is 8 minutes for presentation including stage arrangements.
4. The theme can be presented in any form of art like drama, mime, dance or a mix of these.
5. The copy of the CD or DVD should be submitted before the commencement of the competition at the registration counter.
6. Theme, presentation, creativity, costumes and property will be the criteria for the evaluation.
III. FOLK DANCE (Sinolog)
1. One team from one college and a team must consist of 7 to 10 members including the supporting artists.
2. Time allocated for each team is 8 minutes including stage arrangements.
3. Eco-Friendly properties should be used for stage and background settings
4. CD or DVD should be submitted at the time of registration.
IV. STREET PLAY (Drao)
Theme:- Terrorism and Youth
1. One team from one college and a team consists of 7 to 10 members including the supporting
artists.
2. Time allocated for street play is 12 minutes.
3. Medium of language can be either English or Malayalam
4. Instruments and costumes should be arranged by the team itself.
5. Copy of the script should be submitted at the time of registration.
V. BEST SOCIAL WORKER (Prajwala)
1. Maximum 4 participants from each college.
2. There will be three stages for the competition- Written Test, Group Discussion and
Performance Round.
3. The criteria for performance round consist of Presentation Skill, Situation Management,
Entertaining the Audience and Creativity.
4. There will be elimination after each stage based on the performance.
VI. PHOTOGRAPHY (Imago)
Theme:The environment promotion in your campus
1. Each college will have alloted space for presenting their photos
2. Accessories to paste the photos should be carried by the participants.
3. The maximum size of the photos should be 12x8
4. Entry should be original and not copied from anywhere.
5. Space of two chart papers will be provided to each team
6. There should be only one team (1-3 members) from each college/ institute.
7. Time alloted will be one hour
VII. ISSUE PRESENTATION
Theme: Role of Social Worker in handling Terrorism
1. A team of 2 members from each college
2. Medium of presentation is English
3. There will be three rounds in the competition
4. Material should be Eco-Friendly
5. Participants have to bring the scraps, paper cuttings, etc with out pasting. They have to be arranged at the venue of competition.
6. In the last round the participants have to present their ideas with the help of postures they prepare at the venue |
