Ashantham 2018 De Paul institute of science and technology won the second prize in the skit competition held at MG University Inter Collegiate Arts Festival "Ashantham 2018". July John of School of Media and Communication (MCJ17) got ‘A Grade’ in Malayalam elocution. ‘Ashantham 2018’ was a great opportunity and common platform to the students of DiST to encourage and display their talents.
DISA 2018 Malayala Manorama and De Paul Institute of science and technology jointly organize a three day Summer Camp for SSLC & Higher Secondary students on April 12, 13 & 14. The three day camp is fully packed with activities, motivational classes, and sessions by many eminent speakers on different topics like career guidance, memory formation, exam tips, motivational speeches etc... The entry will be restricted to first 200 students.
Social Work Day De Paul School of Social Work observed the world social work day with a theme "Promoting Community and Environmental Sustainability”. Dr. Unny CJ, Principal inaugurated the Nature Club of DiST as part of the social work day celebrations. The Chief Guest of the Program Mr. Purushothama Kammath, the Environmentalist spoke about the importance of environmental protection and the health care through nature.
The last year MG university examinations added few more golden feathers to the ever continuing university toppers list of DiST. MA Multimedia students of School of Media and Communication department were obtained the first six positions and BA Multimedia Students received first and third positions. Furthermore, Master of Communication and Journalism student, secured third position in the MG University examinations.
International Women’s Day Celebration and Inauguration of women’s forum: ‘DOWE’ (DePaul Organization for Women Empowerment) was inaugurated by Asst. Prof. Leena Joseph, Morning Star Home Science College Angamaly. The purpose of the ‘DOWE’ is to encourage the intellectual and social betterment of women.
