Student Activities: Cultural Activities

We encourage our students to admire and acknowledge the cultural realm of society, through various celebrations. Onam, Christmas, Holi etc. are some of the prominent festival celebrations of the year, which are planned and organized by the students themselves. A mixture of activities including competitions like Crib and Christmas wreath making, 'athapokkalam', 'onapattu' etc along with charity activities like Jingle Bells and fund raising by selling cards are also held.

Student Activities: Club Activities

Every department at DiST has associations, which evolve as platforms wherein students can bring out their leadership, management and creative abilities. The wide array of activities conducted by the associations makes the DiST campus vibrant, colorful and active all through the 365 days of the year. Student groups experience the Forming – Storming – Norming and Performing stages of teamwork.

The departmental associations "INNOVISION" and "AUGUMENTA" under the banner of PG & UG computer sciences respectively arrange various talent hunts for the students of DiST and outsiders to boost the creativity and knowledge of techinical and IT world.

SADESS, the Students’ Association of De Paul School of Social Work, equips the prospective social workers with events like DE NOVO (National or International Seminar and Students’ Meet) and Jingle Bells.

MARKETRICS-The Marketing Club,FINZONE-The Finance Club, SYNERGY-The HR Club and the Management association of clubs organize activities like the management fest 'DAKSH' and different student development programmes for the budding management professionals.'AVAS',the association of media organizes various activities to foster and cater the natural talents of media students. CLUB BETA - The Association of commerce students strives to cultivate interest in Commerce and Finance, through events and activities like INFOQUEST – Quiz Competition for students, La-Foire – Batch wise Trade Fair Competition and 'DiVARIO' – the National Commerce Fest.
