Student's Grievance Redressal Committee

"Fairness in All Fairness to All"

Grievance Redressal Mechanism is a part of any administration. An organization can claim to be accountable, responsive and accessible only if it has a well-established and effective grievance redressal mechanism. It is to measure its efficiency and effectiveness as it provides important feedback on the working of the administration.

The Grievance Cell is responsible for placing a mechanism for the redressal of student grievances in regards to student council activities and other allied non-academic matters at a primary level. The mechanism in place by the cell is responsible for all complaints and difficulties submitted by the student community. Students are free to hand over grievances to any member of the committee or are given the choice of dropping their written grievances in the complaint box placed in front of the library. Students can also register their complaints on the online Grievance Redressal Portal available below.

Vision

To position DiST as the Institute that assures exemplary fairness to all its students, staff and other stakeholders in all its dealings.

Mission

Through an accessible and effective grievance redressal mechanism, ensure fairness in all our dealings which in turn boost the morale and sense of justice of our students.

Objectives

  • To effectively redress all the grievances of the students and staff in the best possible way on the fastest track.
  • To suggest management actions in the areas where grievances are reported repeatedly.
  • To suggest policies/policy changes to the Management which will ensure fairer deals for the students.
