School of Management FDPs and Workshops

Interactive Forums

Faculty Development Programs and workshops act as crucial interactive forums in the modern-day business world. At the School of Management, these dynamic platforms are actively used for the rapid dissemination of knowledge and the rigorous build-up of professional skills. Seminars generally feature an engaging introductory session, an insightful keynote address, specialized panel discussions, and reflective concluding sessions.

While specialist speakers and experts make their in-depth presentations, the participants (especially dedicated students and teachers) actively interact and profoundly benefit from the intensive question-and-answer sessions. Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) at DiST are meticulously conducted for small groups to thoroughly learn fundamental skills on specific strategic activities, while our workshops effectively bring together passionate individuals working on specialized projects or shared areas of interest.

Key Event History

  • July 2013:
    On the 5th and 6th of July 2013, the DiST School of Management conducted an FDP directly focused on SPSS. Prof. Dr. Saji Thazhumkal actively served as the primary resource person for this program, with our faculty members serving as enthusiastic participants.
  • June 2014:
    A comprehensive workshop on "Research methods and data analysis with SPSS" was held on the 27th and 28th of June 2014. Prof. Dr. Ramkumar T.B. and Prof. Dr. Saji Thazhungal were the expert resource persons. Around 25 dedicated faculties from different colleges actively participated.
  • October 2017:
    A detailed two-day workshop strictly regarding research methodology was conducted on October 6th and 7th, 2017, seamlessly inaugurated by Prof. Dr. A. Ramachandran (Vice Chancellor, KUFOS). Expert sessions carefully covered problem validation (Dr. Wilson P.R.), Research Design (Prof. Dr. Hareesh N Ramanathan), Regression Analysis (Prof. Dr. Sam Thomas), and Confirmatory Factor Analysis/SEM (Prof. Dr. Sreejesh SS). A total of 23 research scholars and academicians successfully attended.
  • January 2019:
    With the rapid globalisation and the opening up of the Indian economy, "Intellectual Capital" has notably become one of the key wealth drivers. The School of Management organized a pivotal one-day workshop on Indian Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) on January 16, 2019. The insightful sessions were brilliantly led by Dr. Anson C.J., Dr. Athira P.S., and Ms. Anjana Girish.
  • August 2021:
    The School of Management, in close association with IQAC, conducted a national-level digital webinar on Tuesday, 10th August 2021. The core topic of the webinar was "HR2BH", guided efficiently by resource person Dr. K Latha (Associate Professor, CMS Business School, Jain Deemed to be University, Bengaluru).
