iSTEP Exchange Program

A Global Perspective

In order to uniquely provide a cross-cultural exposure and a strong global perspective to the students, DiST School of Management has successfully developed an extensive International Student Exchange Program (iSTEP) in direct collaboration with De Paul University, Chicago. This genuinely life-enriching experience is an integral part of the MBA/MHRM program at DiST.

This incredible opportunity immensely benefits the students through close interaction with a large number of overseas students spending a full term (usually in the month of December) either at DiST or at De Paul University Chicago. iSTEP actively helps the students to gain valuable independence and quickly develop a global perspective on various worldly matters.

Key Milestones & Visits

  • 2013 iSTEP:
    Conducted on December 12-18, strongly focusing on Comparative Law and Administration. Faculties from Chicago included Dr. Ron Fernandes, Dr. B. Gilomen, and Dr. Vinay Raj R. Mr. Stalin A. from DiST was one of the main organizers. The program saw 23 total participants (5 students from Chicago and 18 students from DiST, Angamaly).
  • Faculty Exchange:
    On August 25th, Dr. Vinayraj R. effectively travelled to Chicago for critical discussions with academicians of De Paul University, Chicago as a distinct part of the faculty exchange program.
  • 2014 iSTEP (Phase 1):
    Conducted as a Global Learning Environment (GLE) online course on October 12, 2014, engaging 14 highly dedicated students (2 MHRM and 12 MBA).
  • 2014 iSTEP (Phase 2):
    Conducted on December 14-19, 2014, thoroughly covering Value Centered Leadership with 12 students. Coordinated by DiST faculty Dr. Vinay Raj R, Mr. Stalin A, alongside Professor Patricia M. Bombard (Director: Vincent on Leadership) from De Paul University, Chicago.
  • 2016 iSTEP:
    Between October 28 and November 14, 2 MHRM students, 3 MBA students, and one faculty member visited De Paul University, Chicago. They successfully completed a certified program on American Institutions-Cross-Sectorial Issues. Coordinated by Mr. Stalin A. (DiST) and Dr. Ronald Fernandes (De Paul University).
